Horizons is a two year development programme for newly and recently appointed graduates and those early in their career. It brings together participants from businesses across the Smiths Group so encouraging employees to establish a network of contacts across the Group early in their career. With this comes an unrivalled opportunity to establish a great overview of the Smiths Group so ensuring that all that join us can see the limitless opportunities beyond that of the business they have first chosen to join.
The programme is designed to provide an understanding of the Smiths Group, the business world in general and to develop personal capabilities, both as an individual and as part of a team.
We believe it is an innovative programme incorporating development workshops; action learning teams; site visits; mentoring; project work; case studies; business simulations; guest speakers; exposure to executive leadership and individual personal development planning. Events are held at some great locations across the UK that also contribute to creating some unique and memorable experiences, and just to make sure the memory is kept alive participants are provided with this website and an e-sharing tool which houses video, photo, handouts and many more aids to capture the memories of their learning.
